Food Service Support Specialist

  • Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Support Specialist to join our team in Dublin 24. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, kitchen hygiene, and customer service. This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to meet client needs. Shift patterns vary between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday, with some weekend availability.
  • Key Responsibilities: Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils, strictly adhering to health and safety standards. Assist kitchen staff with food preparation tasks to ensure efficient meal service. Organize and maintain kitchen storage areas to support smooth operations. Support Chefs by washing, peeling, and cutting ingredients for meal preparation. Follow all HACCP guidelines and food safety procedures. Record food and fridge temperatures in adherence to food safety regulations. Ensure refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas are kept clean and organized. Properly manage waste disposal and recycling to maintain a tidy work environment.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 6 months to 1 year of experience in a kitchen or catering environment (healthcare experience is advantageous but not essential). Legal right to work in Ireland and successful completion of Garda Vetting. Provide references outlining 5 years of work experience. Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset. High standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
