Research and Development Expert

Title: Research and Development Expert Overview The role involves working under day-to-day instruction and collaborating with senior engineers. Responsibilities include performing simulations, creating technical documentation (application notes & conference papers), designing and testing electronic components and systems to identify potential issues and implement timely adjustments.

  • Design custom magnetics (inductors, transformers, EMI chokes)
  • Publish engineering specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on customer-specific design projects; summarize calculations and simulations in PowerPoint presentations and present via Microsoft Teams
  • Work with design engineers in other locations to release new products
  • Contribute to the development of product requirements
  • Develop and publish technical papers in journals, magazines and online platforms

  • Sales Force and FAE's
  • PLM and GM
  • Global Production Sites

Interpersonal Skills:

  • Must possess effective communication, presentation and recommendation skills.
  • Success comes from developing strong relationships with the engineering group both internally and with customers.

Communications:

  • Oral: Excellent English required to communicate instructions and present ideas, concepts and solutions to all levels of employees and customers.
  • Written: Excellent written skills in English to issue instructions and present ideas, concepts, and solutions to all levels of employees and customers via letters, memos, graphs, charts, etc.

Project Management:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Report on project progress

Essential Requirements:

  • Education: A master's degree or PhD in electronics is preferred.
  • Experience: Demonstrable experience in power electronics (industry or academia).
  • Proficient in electronic design software such as Altium or similar.
  • Experience with ANSYS Maxwell.
  • Strong knowledge of electronic components and systems.
  • Familiarity with standard electronic lab equipment.
