Manufacturing Technician Role Overview

This is a key role in our production team, focusing on the manufacture and development of new products and improving existing ones.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Machining of new parts and fixtures
  • Development of CNC programs with the aid of CAM software
  • Machine and tool setup
  • Liaising with other team members
Key Accountabilities:
  • Setting up and programming of 3 axis and 5 axis CNC machines
  • Machining of new parts and fixtures
  • Developing CNC programs in CAD/CAM software
  • Following concepts for new products/fixtures and modifying existing parts and assemblies
  • Performing routine maintenance checks on the machines and equipment
  • Liaising with the Engineering Manager
Essential Qualifications:
  • 2+ years recent experience in a CNC Machining Environment
  • Strong foundation in CNC Machining Principles
  • Ability to work to high level of precision
  • Strong problem-solving skills
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Toolmaking, Mechanical Engineering or related experience
  • Understanding of engineering and technical CAD drawings
  • Ability to clearly understand design concepts
  • Ability to use manual turning and milling equipment
  • CNC programming in CAD/CAM software
  • Machine and tool setup
