Product Development Engineer Role

 

The Product Development Engineer will join our R&D team, responsible for designing and developing all product ranges. This role requires a candidate who can demonstrate innovation and drive to succeed in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development of new products and the upgrading of existing ones
  • Develop product designs based on technical specifications provided
  • Design rotational mould tools based on technical specifications given
  • Implement design for manufacture and assembly techniques
  • Conduct and/or participate in reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, codes, and other needs
  • Prepare product specification sheets, bills of materials, and marketing literature etc.
  • Document designs and specifications according to ISO 9001:2015 QMS and CE Marking EN1090
  • Verify product performance by conducting testing
  • Ensure all designs meet national and international legislation
  • Collaborate with suppliers to reduce costs
  • Other duties as specified by the supervisor/manager

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, preferably Mechanical Engineering
  • 2-3 years' experience is desirable but not essential
  • Results-driven with a proven track record of delivery
  • Familiarity with quality management systems, ISO 9001:2015, and CE Marking EN1090
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Commercially aware
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with various teams
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings
  • Proficient working knowledge and experience of 3D CAD and PTC Creo
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality
  • Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability to changing requirements
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities in parallel
