Job Description

Our organization offers a range of personal and social support services to adults with an intellectual disability in Kilkenny.

  • Provide assessment, intervention, and proactive input into person-centered program planning for service users.
  • Empower individuals to self-advocate and seek support from families and next of kin.
  • Collaborate with service users to promote community participation and inclusion.
  • Assist in setting and achieving goals for individuals.
  • Establish relationships with multi-disciplinary staff and agencies to meet the needs of each service user.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop personalized plans with service users and their families to address their needs and preferences.
  2. Conduct assessments and provide interventions to support service users' well-being and independence.
  3. Advocate on behalf of service users to ensure their rights and interests are represented.
  4. Provide support and guidance to families and next of kin in caring for their loved ones.
  5. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss service users' progress and develop strategies for improvement.
