Financial Accountant Job Description

This role involves working in a financial capacity for a Not-for-Profit organisation, reporting to the Finance Manager and part of a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct monthly reviews of financial performance and provide valuable insights for effective decision-making.
  • Analyze costs and monitor financial trends to identify areas for improvement and implement cost control measures.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Support the Financial Controller in fulfilling Board and committee analysis requirements.
  • Play an active role in preparing annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and business modeling.
  • Provide financial modeling assistance to other departments.
  • Work collaboratively with finance and operational management to enhance financial reporting processes.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years experience in accounts preparation.
  • Finalist or Part-Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CPA.
  • Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in IT systems relevant to accounting with advanced Excel skills.

A friendly disposition with team player characteristics is required.
