Aircraft Maintenance Career Development

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician Traineeship is designed to provide aspiring aircraft maintenance professionals with the necessary theoretical training and practical experience required for an EASA Part 66 Category A1 license.

This two-year traineeship programme includes classroom and practical training delivered onsite at the City of Dublin FET College, Northwest Campus, as well as on-the-job aircraft practical training provided by our partners at Dublin Airport.

Graduates who successfully complete the programme will be certified as competent to safely perform minor scheduled line maintenance and simple defect rectification on turbine-engined airplanes.

Please note that this course is not the Aircraft Maintenance Apprenticeship. Those interested in pursuing an apprenticeship should apply directly to the relevant companies.

This programme starts in October 2025 and is open to individuals with a minimum level of B2 English proficiency.
