Aircraft Maintenance Professional

Emerald Airlines seeks a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will possess a valid UK CAA Part 66 B1.1 / B2 license and have experience working on ATR 72-212A aircraft.

The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of aircraft according to approved manuals, identifying defects, and reporting them to the relevant authorities. They will also be required to maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled line maintenance as instructed by supervisors or the Airworthiness Control Engineer (ACE)
  • Meet flight schedules and ensure work orders are completed in a timely manner
  • Certify work and exercise special authorisation privileges for which they hold a current PAC authorisation
  • Evaluate spares received for installation on an aircraft to ensure compliance with Part Number, Serial Number, Service Life Limitations, Airworthiness Directives, storage life limitations, and other Form 1 stated requirements
  • Order spares for all open HILS using AMOS
  • Maintain continuous liaison with the Shift Supervisor or ACE throughout the shift to minimize delays to operating schedule
  • Complete engineering documents and labels and inform the ACE of arising defects
  • Review relevant Notices
  • Ensure completion of maintenance according to approved maintenance material i.e. AMM/IPD/FIM/SRM/SB/SIL, etc.
  • Be familiar with relevant manufacturer data
  • Wear required personal protective equipment for the task at hand
  • Notify supervisor if safety equipment is unavailable or requires replacement
  • Comply with warnings specified in maintenance manuals especially health and safety matters
  • Ensure correct tooling is used for each task
  • Consult defects database on re-occurrence of any defect for research purposes to avoid needless component replacements and improve quality of troubleshooting
  • Ensure working areas, break area, and maintenance vehicles are kept clean and tidy
  • Return tooling to tool stores at end of shift and update AMOS to reflect tools location
  • Ensure tooling area is kept clean and repair or reorder broken tooling as necessary
  • Ensure ground equipment is secure and refuelled prior to end of shift
  • Implement cold weather procedure when required and inspect aircraft departing during icing conditions
  • Implement local high winds procedure when required
  • Inform LMM if any engineer is not carrying out duties as requested by Shift Supervisor or ACE
  • Complete station delay reports within Event Tracking before end of day

Requirements:

  • Valid UK CAA Part 66 B1.1 / B2 license
  • Licence endorsed with ATR 72-212A Type rating - Additional Types are a plus
  • Recency of 6 month's experience in last two consecutive years on ATR 72-212A - 600 aircraft
  • Full clean driver licence
