Key responsibilities include:

  • Inspecting aircraft for mechanical issues or damage
  • Repairing and replacing aircraft parts, such as engines, bearings, and landing gear
  • Testing and troubleshooting aircraft systems to ensure proper working conditions
  • Refueling and servicing aircraft with necessary fluids and oils
  • Performing regular diagnostic tests on aircraft
  • Responding to reported mechanical issues
  • Ordering and replacing malfunctioning parts on planes
  • Cleaning and maintaining engines
  • Reporting any serious issues to management

Requirements:

  • A trade qualification or a diploma/degree in an engineering discipline
  • Previous experience in maintenance positions, working day-to-day with various types of heavy machinery
  • Experience working in the aviation industry, manufacturing, automotive or similar sectors
  • Desirable but not compulsory: electrical experience
  • A valid driving license
