Warehouse Operations Role

The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, ensuring accurate and detailed records are maintained at all times.

Awareness of warehouse/manufacturing procedures is desired.

Familiarity with manufacturing systems and excellent communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with internal and external customers.

This role requires the ability to work under minimal supervision with a high level of motivation.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations, including freight and stock movement.
  • Ability to locate materials and supplies accurately.
  • Maintain accurate data on the Warehouse Operating System.
Responsibilities
  1. Stock Management: Move freight and stock to and from loading docks, delivery vehicles, storage areas, and production areas using manual tools or equipment.
  2. Data Entry: Record receipts, shipments, and invoices, as well as enter transactions into the Warehouse Operating System.
  3. Cycle Counts: Conduct cycle counts and complete relevant documentation to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
  4. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain material-handling equipment by performing pre- and post-use inspections.
  5. Communication: Collect information from warehouse pass-down meetings and communicate key information between shifts.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Forklift Training: Possession of a valid in-date forklift licence is desirable.
  • Relevant Experience: Relevant warehouse experience is essential, with experience in a production environment being highly desirable.
  • System Knowledge: Familiarity with Excel and SAP systems is required.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Environment: The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Adaptability: The ability to adapt to changing priorities and workloads is essential.
