Sourcing Manager

The primary responsibility of this role is to source and procure materials for production requirements, ensuring efficient and effective inventory management practices. Key duties include executing the Materials Requirement Plan (MRP), preparing and raising Purchase Orders with suppliers and internal stakeholders as required, and maintaining accurate records on the ERP system.
Other essential responsibilities involve understanding forecasting methodologies, updating pricing on supplier price catalogues, contacting suppliers for expedites, communicating quality issues, past due shipments, and stock-outs. Additionally, Procurement Specialists must build, maintain, and manage relationships with suppliers, ensure compliance to purchasing policies and procedures, and track in-transit shipments.
Key skills and competencies for this position include excellent organisational and contract management skills, attention to detail, analytical and numerically astute problem-solving abilities, strong communication and negotiation skills, and ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
To excel in this role, candidates should possess excellent negotiation skills, be able to effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including suppliers and internal teams, and have a thorough understanding of procurement principles and regulations.
