About the Role

The position of Principal Systems Engineer is an exciting opportunity to leverage your technical expertise in systems engineering to drive innovation and solve complex challenges.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop new product solutions, integrating technologies, and applying clinical and economic evidence to increase patient access, improve procedure efficiency, and deliver successful patient outcomes.

As a key member of the Cardiac Ablation Solutions team, you will participate in the creation of integration, characterization, and troubleshooting testing, training, and guidance documents.

You will also coach other engineers in the application of systems engineering principles, identify opportunities for applying systems engineering within work assigned to the team, and support marketing, field engineering, technical services, and training and education in technical questions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate on Core Teams/cross-functional teams in the creation of integration, characterization, and troubleshooting testing, training, and guidance documents
  • Coach other engineers in the application of systems engineering principles and identify opportunities for applying systems engineering within work assigned to the team
  • Support marketing, field engineering, technical services, and training and education in technical questions
Required Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced understanding of Electrophysiology and comfort in the hospital environment
  • Experience in Systems Engineering including defining systems architecture within medical device product development
  • Experience with the application of Design Controls for medical devices
  • Demonstrated ability to create strategies and influence cross-functionally
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a leader and mentor more junior engineers
