Job Title: Solutions Architect

As a Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for developing innovative solutions to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

  • Promote DevOps practices across the Engineering organisation by implementing automation tools and processes that enhance collaboration and productivity.
  • Maintain the platform used to deploy applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and infrastructure.
  • Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure, leveraging latest technologies like server virtualization and cloud computing.
  • Work with stakeholders and developers to automate and improve development and release processes, reducing time-to-market and increasing quality.
  • Test and examine code written by others and analyze results, providing actionable feedback to improve overall code quality.
  • Ensure systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats by implementing robust security measures and monitoring systems.
  • Identify technical problems and develop software updates and 'fixes', collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Work with software developers and engineers to ensure development follows established processes, promoting best practices and standards.
  • Plan out projects and be involved in project management decisions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a professional development environment, preferably in a leadership or architectural role.
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD design and implementation, including automation tools and process improvement.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering principles, TCP/IP networks, and application level protocols.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality solutions and driving business outcomes.
  • Adaptable and able to work on a variety of activities simultaneously, with a strong focus on problem-solving and innovation.
  • Demonstrated creativity in their solutions, with a willingness to take calculated risks and experiment with new approaches.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Eagerness to learn about business and technology trends, with a desire to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
