Diagnostic Assessment Specialist for Autism and ADHD\

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Assessment Specialist to conduct thorough assessments for children referred for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). In this role, you will utilize evidence-based tools such as ADOS-2 and ADI-R, preparing detailed reports with actionable recommendations tailored to each child's needs.

This position offers the opportunity to supervise junior staff members, based on your experience and interest.

  • Conduct thorough diagnostic assessments using ADOS-2 and ADI-R.
  • Utilize your knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic frameworks.
  • Prepare high-quality reports that include diagnostic conclusions and tailored recommendations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Stay updated on best practices in neurodevelopmental assessments.
  • Provide supervision and guidance to junior team members, where applicable.

Key Requirements:

  • Active registration with HCPC, NMC, or GMC.
  • Certification in ADOS-2 and/or ADI-R.
  • Proficiency in DSM-5 and other relevant diagnostic tools.
  • Experience conducting neurodevelopmental assessments, with a focus on Autism and/or ADHD.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months.
  • Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS if not currently held.
