Senior Financial Accountant

This role is a key appointment that will enable the organisation to deliver high-quality statutory financial reporting and tax compliance services. It involves overseeing all aspects of statutory reporting, including year-end closing and preparation of local and consolidated financial statements.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of IFRS standards and experience in managing payroll processes. They should also be able to prepare tax returns, including VAT and Corporation Tax, and present financial and audit reports to senior stakeholders.

  • Lead statutory reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of financial statements.
  • Act as primary contact for external auditors, facilitating smooth and efficient audit processes.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimise financial performance and manage risk.
  • Manage tax compliance, including maintenance of accurate records for audits, payroll, and tax.
Requirements:
  • Professional ACCA/ACA qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within financial services, a large corporation, or a Big 4 environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
