Operations Manager Job Description

This is a challenging role that requires an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the daily activities of our production facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing production, logistics, stock management, and maintenance activities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operational activities across production, logistics, and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all critical tasks.
  • Establish effective non-conformance recording and review processes.
  • Review and update standard work and role definitions to ensure clarity and accountability.
  • Implement training plans to provide coverage for critical positions across all shifts.
  • Set clear KPI targets aligned with business goals and ensure effective communication channels between shifts, departments, and leadership.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Achievement of production stability through standard work implementation.
  • Consistent delivery of output, quality, safety, and compliance KPIs.
  • Reduction of operational variation and improvement of efficiency metrics over time.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Biotechnology, or related discipline.
  • Significant operations management experience (ideally 5+ years) in biotech, pharma, or life sciences manufacturing.
  • Proven track record in developing operational systems, team leadership, and process optimisation.
