About This Opportunity
We are seeking a passionate and driven Culinary Leader to join our dynamic kitchen team in Galway. As a key member of our team, you will support the Head Chef in all aspects of kitchen management, including food production, team supervision, quality control, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen operations.
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff during service and in prep.
- Ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes across all areas.
- Help manage stock levels, ordering, and cost control.
- Assist in creating new menu items and daily specials.
- Enforce food safety, cleanliness, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Foster a collaborative, respectful, and efficient kitchen culture.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie in a high-quality kitchen environment.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, HACCP, and kitchen operations principles.
- Creative approach to menu development and food presentation techniques.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Flexibility to work across various shifts including weekends.
