Retail Assistant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated retail professional to fill the role of Retail Assistant Manager in our Dublin 16 location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the store manager to achieve sales and profit targets through effective inventory management, merchandising, and customer service initiatives.
  • Provide high-level customer satisfaction by offering excellent product knowledge, recommending solutions, and addressing customer concerns in a timely manner.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures by maintaining a safe and organized work environment, complying with relevant laws and regulations, and adhering to established standards.
  • Manage stock and cash control procedures by conducting regular inventory counts, reconciling discrepancies, and implementing efficient processes to minimize losses.
  • Drive business growth through creative and innovative ideas, such as developing advertising and sales promotion plans that maximize brand visibility and drive revenue.
  • Maximize profitability by effectively managing controllable costs, including labor expenses, utilities, and operational overheads.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a retail management position, preferably within an environment handling fresh produce.
  • Familiarity with retail IT systems and their applications in analyzing stock and sales trends.
  • Strong leadership skills, enabling the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve individual and collective goals.
  • Capacity to operate effectively in fast-paced and pressure-filled situations, remaining composed and focused under stress.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, ensuring seamless execution of tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
