Senior Researcher Opportunity
We are seeking an exceptional Senior Researcher to join our photonics packaging and systems integration group. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious professional with expertise in the simulation and design of photonic and electronic components.
Job Description
The successful candidate will lead research projects, manage a team, and collaborate with academic and industrial stakeholders. They will be responsible for establishing and coordinating simulation and design capabilities, developing multi-physics models, and creating package 'digital twins'. The researcher will also work closely with packaging engineers to transition design concepts into fully packaged prototypes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- A PhD qualification in a relevant field, typically six years of experience in the simulation and design of photonic and/or electronic components and systems.
- Extensive expertise in photonics, with relevant experience in optical device physics.
- Electrical design experience.
- Experience using state-of-the-art photonic and/or electronic simulation and design software.
- Experience using AI and Machine Learning tools to optimise simulation and design processes.
