Job Opportunity: Lead a Successful Grocery Department

We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to lead our grocery department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations, leading and training a team, overseeing stock management, and ensuring excellent customer service.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and drive sales growth in a well-established grocery retailer in North Dublin. As a Grocery Department Manager, you will have the chance to work closely with store management to implement strategies that drive profitability and growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the daily operations of the grocery department, ensuring efficiency and high standards in all areas.
  • Lead, train, and motivate your team to provide exceptional customer service and exceed sales targets.
  • Oversee stock management, including ordering, stock rotation, and replenishment.
  • Ensure the department is well-merchandised and products are presented attractively to customers.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Department Manager, Assistant Manager, or Grocery Manager in a retail environment, preferably within grocery or convenience retail.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team.
  • Excellent knowledge of grocery retail operations and merchandising.
  • A results-driven approach with experience in achieving sales and performance targets.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and evenings.
