Life Insurance Underwriter Role

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in Dublin, Ireland as an underwriter/claims assessor for life and serious illness products and claims assessments.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Making accurate and timely decisions that align with guidelines, ensuring applications are assessed to a high standard.
  • Managing and resolving challenges to decisions by clearly explaining the reasons behind them.
  • Communicating effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, including customers and advisers.
  • Promoting quality within the team by identifying errors, analysing root causes to prevent recurrence.
  • Supporting a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Consistently acting with integrity and maintaining a positive, proactive attitude.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in written and spoken German is essential.
  • A couple of years of market experience with underwriting authority for life or serious illness, or relevant risk claims experience; alternatively, a medical qualification such as nursing.
  • A relevant business or industry qualification, or a medical degree.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage time and workload.
