Electrical Design Engineer

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in the delivery and integration of projects across various phases.

About the Position

This is an exceptional opportunity to work on high-profile M&E projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing designated projects and leading a team of engineers to produce designs and deliverables.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the technical aspects of projects
  • Oversee the production of designs throughout the design lifecycle
  • Provide clear vision and team direction by leading a high-performing team through effective management, development, and empowerment of staff
  • Manage resources to produce outputs/deliverables in line with contract requirements and client expectations
  • Coordinate all design and engineering activities between stakeholders
  • Ensure that project technical and performance requirements are flowed down into relevant work packages and validated during commissioning and testing phase
Requirements:
  • Degree or trade qualification in an electrical building services discipline
  • At least 10 years of experience in similar roles, preferably from an M&E consultancy background
  • Ideal chartered or working towards chartership
  • Proven capability managing projects in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Experience working on projects within the data centre, pharma, or industrial sectors desirable
  • Able to work across the full project lifecycle, from initial development through detailed design, procurement, and installation, and on to commissioning and handover
  • Flexible self-starter with a passion for working in a team delivering successful projects
  • Excellent technical report writing skills
