Electrical System Designer

This role is ideal for a technically skilled professional with a strong background in electrical system design, who wants to work on large-scale, complex projects.

About the Job:

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to problem-solve complex electrical challenges.

  • Design and develop electrical systems for high-value pharmaceutical and data centre projects.
  • Produce detailed electrical schematics, layouts, and specifications in line with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure seamless integration of designs.
  • Perform load calculations, cable sizing, and equipment selection for critical power and HVAC systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards (IEC, BS, EN), and client specifications.
  • Work closely with the construction and commissioning teams to support installation and testing.
  • Conduct design reviews, technical assessments, and risk evaluations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Utilise Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM software to develop and coordinate electrical designs.
  • Proficiency in Dialux & Amtech for lighting and electrical calculations.
Key Requirements:
  • 4-5 years of experience in electrical design engineering, ideally within pharma or data centre environments.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, Dialux, and Amtech for electrical design and coordination.
  • Ability to problem-solve complex electrical challenges and work efficiently in a team.
  • Strong communication and technical report-writing skills.
