We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Chaplain to join our team at Bon Secours Hospital Tralee. As a member of our exceptional care team, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients, families, and staff.

The successful candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary environment, collaborating with healthcare professionals to provide spiritual, emotional, religious, and cultural support to patients, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide spiritual accompaniment to patients, families, and staff during challenging times, such as end-of-life care and bereavement.
- Facilitate prayer, sacramental needs, and liturgical services, and assist with chapel care.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support holistic care for patients, including addressing ethical decision-making and promoting awareness of pastoral care services.
- Contribute to staff training, policy development, and the development of chaplain interns, ensuring ongoing professional development.
- Degree in Theology (or equivalent) from a recognised institution.
- Completion of 3 units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or H. Dip. in Pastoral Theology (Healthcare Chaplaincy).
- Certification by the Healthcare Chaplaincy Board (or application in progress).
- Experience in pastoral care within an acute adult healthcare setting.
- Ability to articulate and deliver person-centred care aligned with Catholic healthcare values.
