Accountant Position Available

We are seeking an experienced bookkeeper to join our team as a key member of our accountancy practice in Belfast city centre.

The ideal candidate will work with cloud-based software, preferably QuickBooks, to manage financial transactions for various clients, including processing invoices, receipts, payments, and other transactions, reconciling bank accounts, credit cards, and petty cash, preparing and submitting VAT returns, and assisting with payroll processing, including RTI submissions and auto-enrolment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage client finances using cloud-based accounting software
  • Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and other tax-related documents
  • Assist with payroll processing, including RTI submissions and auto-enrolment
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably within an accountancy practice
  • Strong knowledge of cloud-based accounting software, such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant qualification, such as AAT, ICB, or equivalent (desirable)
