Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our organization in Limerick. As a key member of our multidisciplinary maintenance team, you will play a vital role in maintaining plant operations and driving improvement projects.

This position offers the opportunity to work as part of a collaborative team to ensure efficient plant operations.

You will be responsible for overseeing preventative and predictive maintenance schedules, planning and coordinating major plant shutdowns and overhauls, managing contractors on assigned projects, and troubleshooting issues to improve plant availability and performance.

In addition, you will be expected to ensure continuous improvement of safety and environmental standards, scope, install, and commission large-scale plant improvement projects.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within heavy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Health and Safety practices.
  • Proven technical expertise with strong commercial awareness.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
