Key Role in Facilities Operations

The maintenance technician is a vital position responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of facilities.

This role involves a wide range of tasks, from routine maintenance to emergency repairs. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular inspections and performing minor repairs as required.

In addition, the Maintenance Technician will:

  • Respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues;
  • Perform daily/weekly checks on building systems, including HVAC, water treatment, vacuum, compressed air, cooling towers, and fire protection systems;
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized support services;
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs;
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures;
  • Ensure all maintenance and repairs are carried out in compliance with relevant regulations, SOPs, and GxP requirements;
  • Participate in training and development in cross-skilling and other job-related competencies;

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of relevant work experience, a trade qualification in a similar role/regulated environment, and a strong skill-set in general building repair, plumbing, and carpentry. They will also have knowledge of engineering principles of plant equipment and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Requirements
