Environmental Impact Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Impact Specialist to drive sustainable practices in our projects. Your expertise in LEED assessments and sustainable design principles will ensure that buildings not only meet but exceed environmental standards, contributing to a more sustainable future.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to integrate sustainable design solutions from concept through to construction. You will be responsible for conducting LEED assessments and managing certification processes to ensure projects achieve desired sustainability ratings.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough environmental impact assessments and develop strategies to minimize environmental footprints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable design solutions and ensure their effective integration into project plans.
  • Develop and evaluate sustainable design strategies, including energy efficiency, water conservation, and materials selection.
  • Perform environmental and energy modeling to provide insights on impactful sustainability measures.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advances in sustainable practices.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a sustainability role, preferably within a consultancy setting.
  • LEED accreditation highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of sustainable building certifications and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proficiency in energy modeling software (e.g., IES, EnergyPlus) and sustainable analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary teamwork.
