We are seeking a Graduate Environmental Professional to join our team.

Job Description:

This role is designed to provide a comprehensive learning experience, helping you build confidence in your abilities and flourish in your career. You will gain hands-on experience in best practice application of safe systems in a busy production environment, working closely with our Utilities Team to learn how environmental care and sustainability work in a large production environment.

You will be responsible for supporting the development of sustainable solutions, implementing problem-solving techniques, and communicating safety alerts and training to all site employees. Your tasks will also include reporting on EHS metrics, participating in audits or inspections, and collaborating with production teams to ensure actions are followed up from an EHS perspective.

Responsibilities:
  1. Safety First: You will learn to put safety first by gaining experience in best practice application of safe systems in a busy production environment.
  2. Environmental Care: Caring for our environment is part of our everyday operations. Working with our Utilities Team, you will learn how environmental care and sustainability work in a large production environment.
  3. Problem Solving: Work as part of a broader EHS team and utilise team-based problem solving employing lean/6 sigma techniques through the Business Excellence platform for enterprise excellence.
  4. EHS Management: You will support the EHS policies and procedures across the site and be a proactive EHS presence in the plant and production environment. Assist with conducting risk assessments and communicate safety alerts and training to all site employees.
Requirements:
  • A high academic record to date in Environmental, Health & Safety or related disciplines, with an expected minimum of a 2.2 honours primary degree.
