
Field Security Project Coordinator

This position involves the coordination and execution of various projects, encompassing multiple security system installations at customer sites. The goal is to ensure timely completion within budget and scope of work as specified by contractual requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities- The project coordinator oversees site management for successful and on-time project completion, working closely with the project team to develop a project installation plan and implement job procedures.
- This role supervises project specialists, manages installers and subcontractors, directing daily field activities and performing managerial responsibilities such as training, coaching, and developing colleagues.
- The project coordinator coordinates and supervises subcontractors, verifying quality assurance standards and managing labor, materials, and equipment logistics to avoid delays and cost overruns.
- Collaboration with the Head of Power Teams and Project Coordinator is crucial in overall project coordination; making recommendations regarding potential changes in scope and identifying ways to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Risk identification and communication are key aspects of this role, assisting in developing and implementing strategies to minimize impact and control deviations from estimated costs and project deadlines.
- Maintaining high-quality installation according to national and local codes, while ensuring adherence to company safety policies at all times.
- This role involves installing, programming, testing, repairing, and servicing diverse systems and equipment, including security, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation. It also acts as a key interface for providing technical support and direction to field teams, assisting in troubleshooting, and providing training to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Accurate project documentation is maintained, including variations/change orders, as-built drawings, test reports, and project close-out packages, O&M files.
- Candidate must possess exceptional customer focus and ability to regularly work under pressure, consistently meeting customer needs and expectations.
- Strong supervision skills and hands-on experience related to building automation systems, conventional & addressable fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV & access control, and/or electronic security systems are essential.
- Ability to adapt procedures and tools for complex requirements, strong field supervision skills, and proven problem-solving capabilities are necessary.
- A self-starter who can work independently is required, with advanced mechanical and electrical aptitude, ability to read blueprints and drawings, and strong mathematical skills.
- Frequent visits to job sites for supervision of installers & subcontractors and/or attendance at site project/client meetings are expected, along with minimal overnight travel and a valid driver's license.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, as well as advanced organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, are highly valued.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) is necessary.
- A minimum of five years of relevant field experience is required.
- Experience in the electronic security industry, with knowledge of both local and enterprise systems such as CCure, Lenel, Avigilon, Milestone, Genetec, etc., is desirable.
- Multiple product-specific certifications are desired, as well as industry-specific certifications and/or licenses required; a valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential.
