Maintenance Fitter Role Overview

As a Maintenance Fitter, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal functioning of our facility's equipment and machinery. Your responsibilities will involve working under the supervision of qualified craft technicians to maintain the daily operation of our facilities.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Learn and work while supervised by experienced maintenance professionals on the daily maintenance of the facility's equipment.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of safe operational procedures for production machines and learn how to resolve common issues, perform repairs, and replace parts correctly.
  • Record work completed, parts used, etc., accurately on our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Perform supervised duties to install, repair, and maintain plant utilities such as HVAC, BOILERS, COMPRESSORS, CHILLERS, etc.
  • Perform machining and modifications in the engineering workshop.
  • Develop skills to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems.
  • Read and understand equipment manuals, assembly drawings, and wiring diagrams effectively.
  • Participate in supervised preventive maintenance on machines, assisting vendors and contractors during scheduled overhauls.
  • Learn correct usage of hand tools, power tools, and electrical test equipment.
  • Adhere to company EHS and GMP procedures, maintaining a safe and tidy work environment.

  • Experience working with machinery and good communication skills.
  • A team player with the ability to demonstrate individual achievements and pass a color blindness test.
