Game Design Lead

We are seeking an experienced Game Design Lead to join our team in Dublin, Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design of our games, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the creation of engaging and high-quality experiences.

  • Leading the game design process, from concept to launch, including the development of game mechanics, user interface, and overall player experience.
  • Collaborating with designers, artists, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and alignment across all aspects of the game.
  • Developing and maintaining a deep understanding of player behavior, preferences, and needs, and using this insight to inform design decisions.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior designers to help them grow in their roles and contribute to the team's success.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, and applying this knowledge to drive innovation and excellence in game design.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of game design elements through data analysis and player feedback, and making data-driven decisions to optimize the player experience.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a lead or senior game designer, preferably in a similar role within the gaming industry.
  • Proven track record of designing engaging and successful games, with a focus on player satisfaction and retention.
  • Strong understanding of game mechanics, user interface, and overall player experience, with the ability to apply this knowledge to create innovative and compelling designs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
