Lead Mechanical Services Designer

A premier design consultancy seeks a Chartered or near Chartered Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer to spearhead high-profile projects and mentor junior engineers.

The successful candidate will lead the delivery of multiple projects across various sectors, while driving growth through technical guidance and project management expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and specify mechanical services for large-scale projects
  • Collaborate closely with clients, architects, and contractors in a client-facing capacity
  • Oversee project delivery from concept through to site completion
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical guidance to junior staff
  • Maintain compliance with Irish building regulations and relevant standards
Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering or equivalent
  • Chartered Engineer (or working towards) with 5+ years experience in mechanical design
  • Proven background in building services design, with knowledge of electrical services an advantage
  • Successful track record of managing projects within healthcare, education, commercial, and industrial sectors
  • Exceptional organisational, communication, and client-facing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with Auto CAD/Revit experience desirable
  • Full clean driver's license and own transport
Requirements:

Please note that this position requires a Level 8 degree in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering or equivalent. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in building services design and have experience managing projects within various sectors.
