Objective

Network Infrastructure Professional

We are seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Professional to join our team. This is a permanent position with a market-leading organization that has an excellent reputation and a strong technology team.

The role reports to the IT Infrastructure Manager and offers a great career opportunity with progression and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the maintenance and monitoring of the organization's network infrastructure.
  • Assist senior team members in ensuring network reliability, security, and performance.
  • Monitor and resolve user reported network infrastructure issues.
  • Resolve issues that are assigned via the IT Service Desk ticketing system.
  • Analyse network problems, perform root cause analysis, and ensure preventative measures are put in place.
  • Assist in the configuration and maintenance of networking hardware and software.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and escalate as needed.
  • Provide first-line support for network-related incidents and service requests.
  • Assist with the deployment and documentation of new network infrastructure projects.
  • Liaise with external vendors and service providers as required.

Requirements

  • Qualifications or experience in relevant Azure/Windows technologies.
  • Qualifications or experience in networking technologies, including virtual networks.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 2/3+ years' experience in a similar role.
  • Understanding of core networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Familiarity with network hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Understanding of OSI model.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
