Job Title:

Network Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex network systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the performance and health of network systems using advanced tools.
  • Tackle diverse and complex problems, applying sound judgment and innovative solutions.
  • Operate with minimal guidance on daily tasks, requiring only general instructions for new assignments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to ensure minimal downtime and service disruptions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, with 5 to 8 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in optical networking (DWDM, CWDM) and IP networking (IPv4/IPv6, MPLS, BGP, OSPF).
  • Strong judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques for obtaining network solutions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of fiber-optic technology, including cable types, connector types, optic types, patch panels, and optical transport technologies.
  • Experience in preparing root cause analysis reports for network and server outages.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of effectively working with global service providers, colocation facilities, and ISPs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a multi-vendor network environment.
  • Relevant network certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, JNCIP, OCA, or equivalent.

Work Environment:

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently on complex network operations tasks. Occasional repetitive motions of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers may be required.
