We are seeking a skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team in an acute rehabilitation hospital.

About the Role

As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will assess and treat adults with swallowing and communication difficulties, ensuring every patient has the best chance at recovery and an improved quality of life.

  • Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and interventions for adults with swallowing, communication, and cognitive-communication disorders
  • Deliver specialist dysphagia assessments and evidence-based interventions
  • Work closely with patients with neurological conditions including stroke, acquired brain injury, and progressive neurological disease
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care tailored to each patient
  • Educate and support patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure safe, effective care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to service development
Requirements
  • Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
  • CORU registration (essential)
  • Dysphagia qualification (essential)
  • Relevant acute hospital or rehabilitation experience
  • Experience working with older adults with communication and swallowing needs
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and organisational skills
