This position is designed for a skilled Maintenance Engineer with experience working within the Food sector.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the execution of maintenance strategies and provide support to production teams.
- Perform mechanical repairs on various equipment, processes, and facilities, including high-speed packing, automation, electro/mechanical/pneumatic/hydraulic systems.
- Identify and perform preventative maintenance outside formal maintenance programs.
- Provide technical assistance requirements for production lines and their supporting processes.
- Minimize production downtime by utilizing knowledge and available materials.
- Collaborate with other Maintenance operatives in a team environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Qualification with strong, wide-ranging mechanical skills or fitter skills, mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read mechanical schematic drawings.
- Ability to use multi-meters and troubleshoot electrical faults.
- Good understanding of automation and an automated environment: comfortable with modern equipment control interfaces.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ideal Candidate: A highly motivated individual with the ability to work on own initiative, who is also a good team player and self-motivated.
