Director of Care

This is a challenging and rewarding role that involves providing strategic leadership to nursing staff, overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The Assistant Director of Nursing will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing a team of nurses to deliver high-quality patient care
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with HIQA standards and Health Act Regulations
- Coordinating and facilitating training and education programs for nursing staff
- Monitoring and evaluating the quality of care provided and making recommendations for improvement
The successful candidate will have:
- A degree in Nursing or a related field
- A minimum of 3 years post-registration experience in a relevant field
- A recognised managerial qualification (minimum level 6 on the National Framework of Qualifications)
- Clinical experience working in older persons care or nursing home care
- Fluent English language skills (verbal and written) and eligibility to work in Ireland
