Job Description

A senior team role is available in a leading retail company, supporting the store manager and leading communication. As a key figure in the store's day-to-day operation, you will be responsible for coaching and managing the team to deliver exceptional service, availability, and a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • The daily operation of the store, focusing on coaching and managing the team to meet customer needs.
  • Leading the team when the Store Manager is not present.
  • Providing support and guidance to colleagues with their queries in the absence of their Line Manager.
  • Creating an open environment of two-way communication within the store.
  • Understanding the store's performance metrics and driving the team to achieve targets.
  • Coaching and managing colleagues to enable them to deliver daily priorities and be in the right place at the right time to meet customer needs.
  • Reviewing reports and systems to drive improvements that benefit customers and colleagues.
  • Serving as a role model for colleagues, upholding Tesco values.
Requirements
  • Previous retail management experience is required.
  • A passion for working with people and providing excellent customer service.
  • The ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
  • Flexibility in thinking and decision-making, as well as the ability to adapt to change.
  • Effective organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills.
  • The ability to resolve a wide range of issues creatively.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
