Job Summary

  • A highly experienced Accountant is sought to lead our finance team with expertise in financial management, analysis, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate and timely financial information through month-end reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Support the analysis of financial performance and provide insights for informed decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to review product margins and inform commercial decisions.
  • Ensure the accuracy of stock recording systems and maintain alignment with physical stock levels.
  • Work closely with the Financial Controller to maintain robust financial controls across the business.
  • Develop and implement annual budgets and rolling cash flow forecasts.
  • Oversee cash flow management, including daily balance monitoring and forward planning.
  • Ensure compliance with tax requirements, including return preparation and submission.
  • Liaise with external auditors and advisors during year-end processes.
  • Contribute to cost control initiatives by reviewing and managing overheads.
  • Provide support and mentorship to junior finance staff.

Candidate Profile:

  • A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 23 years of post-qualification experience, ideally in a similar hands-on role.
  • Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • 23 years of post-qualification experience in a similar role.
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified.
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
