Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a technical education with research & development experience and will be capable of utilizing their expertise and skills in the successful development of new products.

  • This role involves representing R&D on New Product Development project teams, researching new ideas and technologies/materials and evaluating technology performance and stability, sourcing/selecting materials and components and the evaluation of same.
  • The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing product and component specifications to ensure that the product consistently performs to a level which meets the needs of the customer, providing technical R&D support to other functions including Global Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering and Manufacturing.

About This Role:

This is an opportunity to work as a leader in a collaborative and cross functional environment for the successful completion of project goals.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Managing project schedules, conducting product and project risk analysis and ensuring successful and timely completion of project activities
  2. Planning and performing design verification and design validation activities

Requirements:

  • Level 8 (Honours) Degree in Mechanical/Biomedical Engineering, Design Engineering or a related discipline is required
  • Masters or PhD in a related discipline is preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience preferably in medical devices
