Biomedical/Mechanical Engineering Co-op

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our organization as a Biomedical/Mechanical Engineering Co-op. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing testing on medical device products and components using automated, semi-automated and manual methods.

You will work closely with our research and development team to evaluate variable data and understand and articulate attributes of product and component performance. Additionally, you will identify a process improvement project along with project objectives, scope, success factors, milestones and evaluation metrics.

  • Evaluate complex testing and systems issues of broad scope using independent judgment.
  • Set up and perform routine to non-routine experiments of moderate scope which comply with FDA requirements and appropriate engineering standards.

The successful candidate will have the ability to analyze and correct minute inconsistencies, and must be able to formulate test guidelines and procedures and recommend revisions of specifications where necessary.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Currently completing an Irish or Northern Irish university qualification in Engineering courses including Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering.
  • Have very good visual acuity and demonstrate fine motor skills.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplined team.
  • Must have honesty and integrity, and comply with the quality system, regulations, and company policies.
