Key responsibilities include:
- Business Analysis: Supporting the front office team by identifying opportunities to improve processes and drive consistency across the team.
- Requirement Gathering: Collaborating with product owners and end-users to capture business needs and translate them into actionable requirements.
- Documentation: Developing functional specifications, process mappings, and workflow diagrams to ensure clarity in system enhancements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working alongside developers, testing teams, infrastructure specialists, and other business analysts to ensure smooth implementation of investment-related projects.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Supporting system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and defect resolution to maintain delivery quality.
- System & Data Management: Providing insights into investment processes by leveraging financial data tools such as Bloomberg, Reuters, and SQL-based analysis.
- Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Ensuring adherence to internal guidelines and regulatory policies in investment operations.
- Project Coordination: Overseeing multiple project deliveries, ensuring they align with business objectives and timeline expectations.
To excel in this role, you will require:
- 5+ years of experience as a business analyst within banking/investment operations.
- 6+ years in financial services, including exposure to front-office workflows.
- Proficiency in financial data platforms (Bloomberg, Reuters).
- Strong expertise in SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
- Previous exposure to instrument referential systems and market data feeds (Equity, Bonds, FX rates).
- An analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve root cause issues.
- Strong communication skills, engaging effectively with stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Ability to work independently and within teams to drive business solutions.
- Experience implementing operational control policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks and compliance best practices.
