Sommelier Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and knowledgeable Sommelier to join our team at Ashford Castle. As Ireland's only double Forbes Five-Star Hotel & Spa, we offer a unique and unforgettable experience for our guests.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 year's experience in a hospitality setting, with a strong interest in wine and a relevant qualification such as WSET L2. They will be responsible for consistently meeting and exceeding guest expectations in the service of wines and beverages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the dining room for lunch and dinner wine service to the highest standard.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of all wines and spirits.
  • Deliver knowledgeable, precise, and attentive wine service to every guest.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by offering confident recommendations and responding promptly and professionally to requests and concerns.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 year's experience in a hospitality setting.
  • A strong interest in wine and a relevant qualification such as WSET L2.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
  • Loyalty and enthusiasm to provide exceptional customer service.
