Job Title: Environmental and Sustainability Specialist

The Environmental Specialist will be responsible for ensuring compliance to ISO 14001 and implementing initiatives to minimize environmental footprint while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Audit against the ISO and internal management systems
  • Work with industry-related sustainability bodies to achieve and improve accreditations
  • Train production-based teams on environment controls, measures, and improvements
  • Monitor energy consumption and reduce waste, water, and effluent use
  • Raise awareness and action campaigns, such as World Earth Day
  • Champion colleagues to use volunteering days for environmental action in the community
  • Work with clients to help them achieve environmental goals

To succeed in this role, you will require a degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or similar, relevant work experience in an Environmental role within a Manufacturing, Construction or Engineering business, extensive knowledge of ISO 14001 and 50001 management systems, ability to use initiative and work with minimal supervision, strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to liaise with all levels within organization.
