Job Description:This role will play a key part in ensuring the business meets its environmental standards by implementing and driving initiatives to reduce our impact on the environment while maintaining compliance with environmental regulations.
- Ensure compliance to ISO 14001 and assist in implementing the ISO 50001 energy management system.
- Audit against the ISO and internal management systems to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with industry-related sustainability bodies to achieve and continually improve our accreditations.
- Train production-based teams on environmental controls, measures, and improvements.
- Monitor our consumption of energy and reduce waste, water, and effluent use.
- Run awareness and action campaigns, such as for World Earth Day.
- Champion colleagues to use their volunteering days for environmental action in our community and beyond.
- Work with world-class clients to help them achieve their environmental goals.
We are looking for an experienced professional with a degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or similar.
- Relevant work experience in an Environmental role within a Manufacturing, Construction, or Engineering business.
- Extensive knowledge of ISO 14001 and 50001 management systems.
- Ability to use initiative and work with minimal supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to liaise with all levels within the organization and proven track record of developing relationships.
- Must hold a valid driver's license and be prepared to travel between local sites.
