Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled QC Instrumentation Specialist to manage and control the laboratory instrumentation calibration and unplanned maintenance program for the Quality Control department.

This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will have experience in managing laboratory equipment and maintaining quality control processes.

  • Liaising with Suppliers: Coordinate the calibration schedule with suppliers to ensure that all laboratory instruments are properly calibrated and maintained.
  • Reviewing Documentation: Review all laboratory calibration/qualification documentation to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Managing Equipment: Manage changes to instruments, instrument relocations, and decommissioning of instruments to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot laboratory equipment issues to quickly resolve problems and maintain high-quality test results.
  • Instrumentation Calibration: Conduct all instrumentation calibration investigations to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.
  • Supporting Analytical Instruments: Support the implementation and qualification of analytical instruments, and their routine/periodic maintenance.
  • Ensuring GMP Compliance: Ensure Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) compliance of laboratory operations and documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience in a QC laboratory environment, preferably in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific discipline, such as chemistry, biology, or physics.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
