Instrumentation Specialist Opportunity

Cpl is seeking a skilled Instrumentation Specialist to join their team on a 12-month contract. This role involves managing laboratory instrumentation calibration and unplanned maintenance programmes.

  • Liaising with suppliers to coordinate calibration schedules
  • Reviewing all laboratory calibration/qualification documentation
  • Troubleshooting laboratory equipment
  • Managing changes to instruments, instrument relocations, and decommissioning of instruments
  • Coordinating the purchase of new instruments and related installation operation qualification reports
  • Ensuring laboratory GMP Compliance of operations and documentation

About the Role:

This specialist will be responsible for managing and controlling laboratory instrumentation calibration and unplanned maintenance programmes. The successful candidate will have experience working in a pharmaceutical industry environment and knowledge of Quality Control operations.

Key Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  1. Managing laboratory instrumentation calibration and unplanned maintenance programmes
  2. Coordinating the calibration schedule with suppliers
  3. Reviewing all laboratory calibration/qualification documentation
  4. Troubleshooting laboratory equipment
  5. Managing changes to instruments, instrument relocations, and decommissioning of instruments
  6. Coordinating the purchase of new instruments and related installation operation qualification reports
  7. Ensuring laboratory GMP Compliance of operations and documentation

Requirements:

  • A BSc in Analytical Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline is required
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience working in the pharmaceutical industry is required
  • Knowledge of Quality Control operations
  • Experience of regulatory agency audits and an understanding of laboratory GMPs FDA regulations and their application to API manufacturing
