Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer I

This position plays a vital role in developing innovative medical technologies that save lives and improve the quality of life for millions of patients worldwide.

  • We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer I to join our growing team, where you will be heavily involved in supporting the design work for a critical ablation program.
About the Job:

The selected candidate will be responsible for complex product design activities, including concept development and prototyping, design/development of components to be manufactured via plastic injection molding, stamping, machining, extrusion, and related processes.

You will also create and interpret analyses to determine the suitability of design concepts, provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff, and incorporate risk-based decision-making into the design process.

In addition, you will apply Six Sigma (DFSS) methodologies to all aspects of the design/development process, ensure on-time completion of Design Control deliverables, and maintain current knowledge of related technologies.

Key Skills & Experience:

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 1 year of experience in mechanical product development.

  • Formal training in Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Experience designing/developing catheters.
  • Experience with high-volume manufacturing.
