We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team in Dublin.

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and undertaking design work, as well as technical project coordination.

  • Lead conceptual design studies, prepare sketches, and author reports
  • Conduct mechanical design including building analysis, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, specialist gas, water services, drainage, and fire suppression systems
  • Review and provide feedback on junior engineers' design work
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers within the team
  • Estimate and control project costs
  • Ensure seamless coordination between specifications and drawings
  • Coordinate work with design teams, including architects, engineers of all disciplines, and QS staff
Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Building Services Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 6 years post-qualification experience in a consultancy environment. Chartered status is also desirable.

  • Technical expertise in designing laboratory-based HVAC systems, pressure cascades, specialist gases, and Good Manufacturing Practice in industry, healthcare, and/or third-level education
  • Ability to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Proficiency in electrical design software
  • Experience working in a BIM environment
Desirable Skills:
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proven track record of delivering projects successfully
  • Ability to adapt to changing project requirements
